Note: This event is limited to 30 attendees per section. Attendees are responsible for park entrance fees. Please meet at Stony Creek Metropark Nature Center, 4300 Main Park Drive, Shelby Township, MI 48316; follow signage to the nature center.

Attendees will learn to recognize and appreciate some of Michigan’s most common spring butterflies through this program at Stony Creek Metropark. We’ll start at the nature center with a short program to help us learn butterfly identification and then head out on an easy walk to look for these colorful creatures.

About the Presenter: Erin Parker is the Eastern District interpretive services supervisor for the Huron-Clinton Metroparks, overseeing the nature centers at Lake St Clair and Stony Creek. Connecting people to nature is both Erin’s passion and profession, and she believes that birds can be the gateway to a lifetime of enjoying nature. Erin is an unflagging and always-popular supporter of the MORE program!
